The Sky-Watcher HORIZONT series 70mm model is an ideal choice for anyone looking for a mid-sized, cheap but optically good quality telescope for both daytime and astronomical use.
The optics provide surprisingly good images. When the telescope was tested on Jupiter even small details were evident on the two main belts. The 70/500 provides very small amount of color aberration despite its f/7 focal ratio. Maximum magnification is 120x.
The short tube and the robust AZ3 mount is an ideal combination for visual observations, making the observation comfortable in the whole magnification range (12-120x) without fighting with a shaky mount. Two Barium eyepieces (10mm, 50x and 25mm, 20x) are included) with an Amici-prism. Ideal for both astronomical observations and for panorama telescope as well.
