The ST4–ST4 (RJ12–RJ12) cable is the most commonly used autoguider cable compatible with the ST4 standard. Autoguiders typically use only 5 of the 6 pins on the autoguider connector, with the sixth pin remaining unused. However, in our RJ12–RJ12 cable, all 6 pins are soldered, making it suitable not only for autoguiders but also for other applications.
Thanks to its special insulation, the cold-resistant cable remains flexible even at low temperatures.

Please note: The cable starts to harden under -5 Celsius, but much less than another normal cables.
They is NOT made of silicon outer sheath, it is a soft-plastic jacket (similar to silicon, but NOT silicon) and it is cold-resistant. It is a good compromise that protectrs the inner conductors while still remaining relatively flexible in cold conditions.

We have received negative feedback regarding cable insulation made from pure silicone tubing. The silicone sheath offered no resistance to deformation in extreme cold, causing the thin inner wire insulation to become damaged more quickly.
